Vision
“To be a globally respected Business School nurturing innovative entrepreneurs & business leaders who would produce wealth for the nation”.
Mission
“To be an Institute of Excellence in creating and nurturing research orientated academics, entrepreneurship and leadership with sensitivity towards society”.
A lot of people initially asked us on the reason behind naming ourselves Indus Business Academy. We are proud to share that our deep roots with Indian history, Indian management which is always been praised in the east. The word “Indus” reflects the Indian history, and “Business Academy” reflects an Indian Management B-School.
IBA has created a niche for itself in the sea of management institutes through the culture it imbibes in its students.
The IBA’s founding mission is to bring excellence in Teaching, Training, Corporate Networking and in Placements. We decided to address these issues by creating a world-class infrastructure in a 5-acre eco-friendly land. The curriculum at IBA is designed in a manner that it will be rigorous, which will constantly be upgraded based on corporates’ requirement and would be in tune with the latest case studies and real time experiences. A strong and active corporate networking help us to feed the inputs from the industry into academics. Apart from curriculum, the best available faculty teach IBAians to improve their leadership, communication and soft skills.
At IBA, the talent of the students is sharpened through various Clubs like the HR, I3, Operations, Marketing, Finance and Retail Club. The objective of these clubs is to inculcate the habit of working in a team and to encourage peer learning. These clubs actively organize learning events, seminars guest lectures to keep the club members abreast with latest trends in corporate and academia. To keep the culture of India alive inside the campus of IBA we have an active Cultural club named YMCC (Yoga Meditation & cultural centre) which celebrates prominent festivals.
The end results of these strategies will be visible in couple of years when these young minds will start performing in the industry. IBA encourages students to participate in various research paper presentation, management fests, B-School competitions which give them a competitive environment and a platform to interact with the peer group from other institutions. The IBA Vision, its Culture, the Teaching and the Training will become a role model for new generation B-Schools in the country in the near future.
The vision is to get IBA into the top B-Schools in the next 3 years. For achieving this, we are making sustained efforts to induct talented faculty and facilitate them to bring major breakthroughs in knowledge creation. The results are evident in their scholarly publications of articles, papers and books, presentations in National and International Conferences. This is strengthening our efforts in knowledge creation and distribution and thus make IBA a ‘Centre of Excellence for Learning ‘.
We aim to build managers and leaders who are hardworking, who believe in dignity of labour, who are team players and pragmatic, having their foot firmly on ground. Indus Business Academy in Bengaluru is marching on the path to glory.
Think beyond, Think IBA!

Placements
IBA follows a multi-pronged strategy offering multiple avenues for placements of its students. At IBA placement is an activity, which commences from the very first day. On our part, an established placement office with a dedicated team of placement officers constantly promote our students among premier organizations such as transnational companies, management consulting companies, software firms, banks, merchant bankers and so on.
In this regard, our MDP and consulting division, through which we provide education and management consulting to companies; also helps us in building awareness about our PGDM course among our client organizations and corporate executives.
Regular guest lectures on specific functional topic areas by industry leaders whilst enhancing the learning process also offer an opportunity for interaction between students and key decision makers in organizations leading to possible future placement.Placement Process
- Students get the intimation about placement opportunities from the institute’s I3 committee (Industry Institute Interface) via intranet or internet emails.
- Interested students convey their choice either through mail or prescribed process within the specified time limit.
- The students are communicated about the recruitment process dates once the Placement team gets a communication from the organization.
The entire placement Process is mostly conducted in the campus but in some cases, students visit the recruiter’s premises for the process. The recruitment process generally includes Pre placement talk followed by process like Aptitude test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview depending on respective company policy & selection criteria. While students can appear for multiple interviews, they are bound to accept the first offer made to them. Recruited students can join their employers after their final examinations which are concluded in the month of March or April as per the Academic Calendar.
Placement calendarPlacements form an integral part of the curriculum and the culmination point of a student’s B-School journey.
