Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies is a reputed B school run by the Coimbatore Education Foundation. It got approval by AICTE in 2012-2013.VIMS offers a management course, a full-time two-year MBA programme affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Once the student completes the first year of the course, the MBA curriculum can be customized by selecting electives which a student will enjoy and which will help the student further in the career. VIMS also organizes out-bound training programmes as a part of the MBA course, and to get practical exposure, students also undertake a summer internship for 6-8 weeks as well as a project for 6 months. There are various specialisations which the students pursuing MBA from VIMS can pursue. Those are Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Systems Management, Operations Management (including SCM and Logistics), and Financial Management.

VIMS Chennai MBA Selection Process 2019
Candidates have to appear for the national level or state level management entrance exam. Selected candidates will be called for the document verification process. The passing certificates of 10th, 12th and entrance exams will then be scanned in detail. After the document verification process candidates will be shortlisted for further rounds of the selection process at VIMS. Final selection will be done on the basis of the entrance exam, 10th & 12th Scores followed by Group Discussion and Personal interaction which will be conducted among the shortlisted candidates.

CAMPUS
Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS) is equipped with modern infrastructure and amenities. The classrooms at VIMS are fully-air conditioned with gallery type seating arrangement. The spacious classrooms at VIMS are equipped with LCD projectors, smart boards, and speakers to facilitate interactive and innovative teaching-learning process. The library at VIMS is fully air-conditioned and has a collection of 5,000 books and30 journals &magazines. The computer lab at VIMS has all modern facilities. The computer lab at VIMS has 120 computers and internet connectivity with a speed of 4 MBPS. VIMS provides separate hostel facility for boys and girls. The hostels are fully furnished and are equipped with the latest infrastructure. The hostel mess provides nutritious food to students.
Canteen facility is also available on the campus of VIMS. The seminar hall at VIMS is a major destination for guest lectures, conferences, and seminars. The seminar hall has all modern facilities such as LCD projector, smart boards, public address systems, etc.
