Reading Comprehension :
  • This section accounts for over 67 % of the question ( 16 questions out of 24 )
  • Question Format : MCQs with a few TITA ( Type in the Answer ) questions
  • There will be 4 passages comprising 4 questions each .

CAT DILR Exam Pattern

Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning is the second section of the CAT Exam . Candidates will be able to attempt it only after they submit the VARC section in the CAT Exam . It is by far the most dynamic section in CAT with new types of questions being introduced almost every year . It is advisable to be very careful when it comes to the selection of the questions.

Based on the CAT DILR exam pattern , here is the breakup of the sets :

  • The section will have 4 sets comprising 5 questions each.
  • Each set lends a maximum of 15 marks .
  • The most common areas questioned include bar graphs , arrangements , missing data and puzzles ( games ) .

CAT Quant Exam Pattern

This is the section that most candidates prepare extensively . This is because the CAT exam pattern and syllabus for this section are the most fleshed out among all the other sections . It is the section that can make or break the exam for most candidates .

  • The quant section has a total of 22 questions .
  • As the CAT quant exam pattern has no sub – sections all the questions are focused on the mathematical skills of the candidates .
  • Based on past trends , the questions are dominated by arithmetic and algebra and also include geometry .

CAT Exam Pattern : Important Points to Remember

  • Candidates cannot choose the order of the sections back and forth between sections . The fixed order of the exam is- VARC , followed by DILR and then Quant .
  • CAT has two types of questions- MCQ – based and TITA ( type in the answer ) . The MCQ type has a negative marking of 1 for every wrong answer . The TITA questions have no negative marking .

prepare sincerely and in a focused way. We say it is possible to prepare
for MAT in three months because, MAT syllabus is same as that of other
MBA entrance exams and most of the candidates appear for multiple
entrance tests.

The MAT Exam is conducted in February, May, September, and
December. As you have been given choices to select the month in which you
want to appear for the exam. With good research and discussions with
appeared applicants, it is advised that the best months to appear for the exam
is in December and February.

Candidates can take MAT exam in one of the three modes of their
choice – Internet-Based Test (IBT), Computer-Based Test (CBT) or Paper-
Based Test (PBT) and the eligibility criteria for all three modes are
same. There is no limit on the number of attempts for taking the exam.

Yes, some of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) do accept
Management Aptitude Test MAT scores. However, it’s important to note that
acceptance of MAT scores by IIMs may vary from year to year, and also
depend on the specific IIM and the programmed you are applying to.

AIMA conducts Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT) for MAT
2023, apart from CBT and PBT MAT exam modes. The MAT 2023 exam
fee for one MAT exam in any of the three testing modes, is Rs. 1950/- and for

Composite Score of 400 and above is considered a good MAT score.
Most of the MBA colleges accepting MAT select students having MAT score
in the range of 80 percentile to 99 percentile.

Achieving a good score in MAT deserves an appreciation. Based on
your good score in MAT exam. If you have more than 85 percentile in your MAT then you are eligible to avail the scholarship.

Can I make another attempt at MAT exam, if I score low in first
attempt? Yes, you can attempt MAT exam as many times as you want. MAT
is conducted multiple times in a year and three different modes. The MAT
exam is held in February, May, September and December.

Total marks of MAT exam is 200. Every question carries one mark for
correct attempt and there is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong
answer. No marks is deducted for skipping questions.

The biggest advantage of taking up the MAT MBA entrance test has to be
that nearly all international schools accept MAT scores. As the MAT exam
score is accepted by more than 600 MBA colleges in India, it is one of the
largest MBA entrance tests in the country. No other MBA entrance exam is as
widely accepted as MAT.

The MAT is accepted by over 600 MBA colleges in India, making it one of the
country’s most popular MBA entrance exams. Furthermore, MBA colleges that
accept MAT scores for admission offer a variety of popular, emerging, and
niched specializations.

In comparison to MAT, GMAT is considered much tougher when it is about
the syllabus. GMAT is almost similar to the CAT in terms of difficulty level. But
some other factors make GMAT much convenient than MAT. You can appear
in the GMAT exam during any business duration throughout the year about 5
times.

1 year
MAT results 2023 and MAT exam scores are valid for 1 year from the date of
MAT result declaration for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes in the MBA
colleges accepting MAT scores. AIMA MAT Result 2023 scores will be sent to
the Management Institutes (MIs) as well as to the candidates by AIMA.

Candidates can choose from up to 600 MBA colleges which accept MAT
score for admission. Once the MAT result for an exam phase is
announced, the scorecards are sent to selected colleges. The colleges then
contact the candidates for shortlisting process if they qualify on the basis of
minimum MAT cut off

Yes, it is possible to crack MAT with 1-month preparation, but only if you have
studied the topics included in the MAT syllabus before or have prepared for
MAT or any other MBA entrance exam.

There is a myth that it is easy to crack MAT exam. Questions in MAT exams
are relatively easier than CAT, but that doesn’t make MAT an easy exam to
crack. Because of the easy nature of question paper, a lot of effort and
emphasis goes onto speed and accuracy in solving the questions.

40 Marks for each section with 40 questions is the maximum raw score with a
total of 200 raw marks for all the 5 sections. MAT scores are scaled to 100 for
each section. The scaled score is therefore, awarded in the score card in the
range of 0-100 in each section.

Preparing for MAT requires a lot of hard work. Many students feel that doing
well in the exam without coaching classes is not possible. However, there are
so many opportunities available around you which if utilized properly are the
key to a 100th percentile.

CMAT Language Comprehension

Practice as many Reading Comprehension passages as possible. Although in 2023 and 2022, there were only 5 and 4 questions respectively, in 2021, there were 14 questions. So, do not leave this topic untouched before the exam. The difficulty level of the passages is not very high, so make sure that you attempt all the questions in the exam.

Usually, grammar and vocabulary have almost equal weightage in the exam. So, practice at least 30-40 questions each on synonyms, antonyms), para jumbles, spelling errors, error detection, phrases and idioms, etc.

CMAT GK

It has been observed that in CMAT GK section, the maximum weightage is of static GK. So, try to revise only the notes or material you have to cover as much as possible. You can expect more questions from politics, economics, and general awareness on awards and events.

CMAT Innovation and Entrepreneurship Preparation

You can expect a majority of the questions from basics and business knowledge (about 10-15), 3-4 questions from government schemes and funding, startup and venture development, and only 2-3 questions from brand names and taglines, CEOs of companies, MVP, VC, investment related terms, etc. So, divide your preparation time accordingly to get maximum marks in this section.

SNAP 2023 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

SNAP full form is Symbiosis National Aptitude Online Test. SNAP is the common, mandatory MBA entrance test for admission to the 15 Symbiosis Institutes affiliated to Symbiosis International University (SIU) Pune.

The overall difficulty level of SNAP is lesser than that of CAT or XAT, but more than TISSNET, CMAT or MAH-CET.

The general eligibility criterion for the SNAP exam is that candidates must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% in their graduation . However, it is important to note that the specific eligibility criteria for the SNAP exam may vary depending on the requirements set by the 15 participating institutes of SNAP.

The SNAP syllabus is same as other MBA entrance exam and there are no questions on Reading Comprehension or Data Sufficiency. This makes the SNAP exam much easier to crack than other exams . Since 2020, the exam is conducted for only 60 minutes and the total number of questions asked is also 60.

However, for each SNAP attempt, you will have to pay INR 1,950 as exam fees. So, be very careful in deciding the number of attempts as the SNAP exam fee is non-refundable. The SNAP exam is held in a gap of one week, so when you take the first attempt you get an idea of your preparation and performance.

SYMBIOSIS MBA – PROGRAMME ELIGIBILITY. Candidate should be Graduate from any recognised University/ Institution of National Importance and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes) at graduation.

Daily investments of 6-8 hours are enough to prepare for SNAP in 2 months But do not study continuously. Take a break of 10 minutes every 2 hours of study.

NAP score vs percentile:

SNAP is less competitive and probably the easiest MBA exam, hence getting 99 percentile or above is not very tricky .

three attempts

The SNAP is conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates can take three attempts in SNAP.

The SNAP 2023 Exam is quite easy as compared to other management exams, and if aspirants are preparing for other MBA entrance exams like the CAT, XAT, IIFT, and CMAT, they can prepare for SNAP in a month because the snap syllabus is similar.

The common SNAP eligibility criteria to appear in the SNAP 2023 exam is that a candidate must have secured a minimum 50% aggregate in graduation

Candidate should be a graduate from any recognised University / Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for SC / ST) at graduation level.

Some of the books that are recommended for SNAP preparation have been listed below:

  • Competitive General English by Kiran Prakashan.
  • General English for Competitive Exams by Disha Experts.
  • High School English Grammar by Wren & Martin.
  • Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis

As noted, your Snap Score is an indication of how active and how social you are on Snapchat. You can’t actually use it for anything — it’s purely cosmetic — but raising it can be fun . Your Snap Score counts: How many Snaps you’ve sent and received.

Understanding Snapchat score After getting to the profile, a number will be listed at the bottom of the avatar, showcasing your score. According to Thrive My Way, a good Snapchat score is between 1000-50,000, while an average score falls between 50,000 – 200,000.
